Halloween Game Jam is a week-long game development event held at our locations in Sweden and Latvia, where participants form teams to create interesting game prototypes. Teams can be pre-formed or assembled at the start of the event, making it easy to join whether you come alone or with others.
Held every year around Halloween, Halloween Game Jam brings game developers together for several days of making games, meeting people, and sharing the experience with the community. The jam ends with a huge Halloween party, where everyone gets the chance to put their work aside, dress up, and celebrate together.
Halloween Game Jam 2026 begins on October 24 16:00 (+02:00) and ends after the Halloween party around November 1 02:00 (+01:00).
Tickets are free and include accommodation.
Halloween Game Jam ends with our big Halloween Costume Party, where everyone puts their games aside for the night, dresses up, and celebrates the end of the jam together.
This year's costume theme is Dungeons & Dragons meets Music.
Take a classic fantasy character or class and mix it with a music genre, band, or artist. Imagine a punk rock paladin, disco wizard, heavy metal barbarian, country bard, or a rogue inspired by your favourite pop star. You can lean heavily into the fantasy side, the music side, or find some wonderfully ridiculous place in between.

Spelkollektivet is a game developer co-living community in the small village of Väckelsång in southern Sweden. Throughout the year, developers from around the world live and work here together, surrounded by forests, lakes and the Swedish countryside.
Väckelsång is a small rural village in Småland, surrounded by forests, farmland and lakes. The area is quiet and peaceful, with nature only a short walk away in almost any direction. The nearby town of Tingsryd has shops, restaurants and other services, while Växjö, the largest city in the area, is about 40 minutes away.
Late October brings a very different side of the Swedish countryside. Expect chilly autumn weather, dark evenings, colourful forests and plenty of mist, making Väckelsång a particularly fitting setting for Halloween.

Surrounded by nature and far away from the distractions of the city, it's a place built around bringing solo developers together under the same roof, giving them the opportunity to get to know each other, find people they work well with, and form teams for their next game.
Lamiņi is a small village in western Latvia, surrounded by forests, fields and the quiet countryside of the Kurzeme region. The manor sits beside a pond at the edge of the village, with the surrounding landscape giving the location a secluded and distinctly rural atmosphere.
By late October, the days are getting shorter and the Latvian countryside is well into autumn. The old manor, changing forests, cold evenings and relative isolation make Lamiņi an especially atmospheric place to spend Halloween.
